Getting Started

You can use UCF’s information literacy modules if you are a current UCF student. You don’t have to be in an online course. Your professor doesn’t have to assign the modules to you. You’ll need your NID, your NID password, a Web browser, and high speed internet access.

If you can’t remember your NID, you can look it up here: https://my.ucf.edu/static_support/pidnidwrapper.html

If you can’t remember your NID password, you can reset it here:

If you need help with your NID or NID password, call the Help Desk at 407-823-5117.

If your professor has given you a link or a Web address, just follow that link to get access to the modules. If you use the link given to you by your professor, he/she will have access to your scores.

If your professor didn’t give you a URL, just go to the Modules page on this Web site and select one of the modules from the list.

IMPORTANT: If you access the modules from this web site, your professor will not have access to your scores.

You should be able to complete each module in under 30 minutes!

Technical Requirements

  • To access the information literacy modules you will need an up-to-date JavaScript-enabled web browser with Flash Player 10 installed. Browsers tested with the information literacy modules include: Internet Explorer 6+, Firefox 2+, Safari 3+, and Opera 9+. Access with different browser versions may produce unpredictable results. The modules are best viewed at a screen resolution of 1024 X 768 or higher. (Note: Older computers may have a lower screen resolution and may not display as well.)
